Our Work
A selection of events and campaigns we have had the privilege of crafting, each one shaped by the brand, the audience, and the story that needed to be told.
Matonique creates all social media content and athlete competition posters for the Gauteng Weightlifting Association, managing their presence across Instagram and Facebook.
For each competition, Matonique designs bold, on-brand athlete announcement graphics that celebrate the athletes and build excitement around their events, from African Championships to European Championships appearances.
The work reflects the same attention to detail and brand consistency that Matonique brings to every client: striking visuals, sport-specific design language, and content that makes athletes feel seen and their achievements truly celebrated.
Matonique plans and executes Howden's annual Technology Day, a flagship client-facing event that brings together over 100 customers, engineers, and industry professionals for a full day of presentations, technology showcases, and networking.
The event gives Howden the platform to expose their latest innovations, case studies, and market expertise to their most important clients, from advanced mine cooling and ventilation systems to cutting-edge technology demonstrations including live Boston Dynamics robot showcases.
Matonique manages every element of the day: venue and logistics, branded collateral and merchandise, catering coordination, delegate registration, display board production, and on-the-day event management, ensuring a seamless, high-impact experience from first arrival to final networking session.
Matonique conceptualised, planned, and executed the FAM Minerals & Mining SA company launch in January 2026, a high-impact corporate event attended by approximately 80 guests from across the mining and engineering industry.
Every detail was crafted to reflect FAM's identity as a global leader in bulk material handling: branded illuminated signage, custom table agenda cards, a company timeline display board, branded gift bags and merchandise, and full event coordination from venue to final farewell.
Beyond the launch, Matonique serves as FAM's ongoing marketing partner, creating all exhibition and showcase materials, advising on marketing strategy, producing digital media and editorial content, and managing the brand's presence across channels in the South African market.

Founder & Creative Director
Monique Slabbert is a South African events and marketing professional with a deep passion for helping brands tell their story, and telling it beautifully. She founded Matonique on a simple but powerful belief: that every company, every organisation, and every brand deserves an experience that feels completely, authentically theirs.
With experience spanning corporate events, brand management, social media strategy, marketing advisory, and athlete marketing, Monique brings a rare combination of creative vision and meticulous execution to every project. She works across industries, from engineering and mining to education and sport, taking the time to understand each client's world before crafting anything at all.
